Barbara Beard is a dedicated law enforcement professional with over 21 years of service as a police officer, including 17 years as the Youth Officer for the Hume Police District. With a deep commitment to youth development, Barbara has been actively involved in the TCF Mentoring Program for the past two years. Her firsthand experience has allowed her to witness young people's incredible growth and transformation as they navigate the program's challenges. Barbara finds immense fulfilment in watching and supporting the participants to push beyond their comfort zones, discovering their adaptability and capabilities. She particularly cherishes the camaraderie and support that develops among the groups during the program, where the young participants encourage and uplift each other in a truly inspiring display of teamwork and personal growth.
